Detail of the gravel beach
39 km north of Zadar Posedarje is a small village on the northern side of Novigradsko More - Novigrad Sea. Thus, Posedarje doesn't look on the open Adriatic Sea, instead it looks on that small sea with salt water. It can be considered both as a destination for spending a full vacation here or choosing it as a base for day trips to explore the nearby areas of Zadar, Nin, Pag and Paklenica. Our site would like to share information that can be used for planning a visit or a stay in Posedarje.

The lack of seeing the open sea is well compensated by the efforts of the locals to make Posedarje a well-kept and appealing place. The developed, gravel beach is not overcrowded, not even during the highest season. As the water is shallow on the beach, bathing of families with small children is safe and pleasant in Posedarje. West of the village there is another beach by the tiny Holy Spirit Church on an islet - the coast in that bay is sandy and, at some locations, muddy.

Besides a small, family-run hotel and a small campsite accommodation is available at private apartments and rooms rented by the locals. The village has several groceries, bakeries, restaurants, bars and even an ATM. More details are available on the pages of our website - so, please take a look around on Posedarje.info!
